KCA Consultation Process
My ideal clients have a vision for their business but either don’t know where to start in the set up process, need advice on how to approach certain topics, need marketing help, lack the time to handle many of the routine administrative tasks that pop up. They realize they need support, and they recognize the value in finding an business consultant whom they can build a relationship with over time – someone who can not only complete administrative, marketing & startup tasks, but who also understands their business on a much deeper level. My clients are equally participating partners in this working relationship.
3-Step Consultation Process
Step 1
When you first contact me regarding business consulting & support (preferably via the form on my contact page), I will send you a preliminary questionnaire to gather some additional information. This provides me with a snapshot of your current situation and what type of support you are looking for. Essentially, it prepares us both for Step 2.
Step 2
After I review the answers from the questionnaire you filled out in Step 1, we’ll schedule a more in-depth call to discuss both the immediate and long-term needs of your business. In addition to the type of consulting or support that’s needed, we'll talk about things like your business's background and goals, communication styles, and expectations for our partnership.
Step 3
At the conclusion of our call, we’ll discuss next steps.
- If we’ve concluded that we’re a good match, we’ll get started!
- If either one of us needs more time to think through what we've discussed, we'll schedule a time to reconvene.
- Or, if for some reason we've decided that we're not a good fit (most commonly, if you need support for over 30 hours/month - in which case you probably need to hire an employee), I can provide you with additional resources to help you continue your search.
